Kubota RTV Lighting and Electrical Accessories: LED Lights, Harnesses and Compatibility Guide

Kubota RTV lighting and electrical accessories include front and rear worklights, LED light bars, warning beacons, strobes, turn-signal kits, reverse alarms, switch panels and accessory wiring harnesses. Options exist for current utility vehicles and legacy models, but the correct installation depends on the vehicle, roof, cab and electrical system.kubotausa+2

A lamp is often only one component of the required installation. Kubota’s documented systems may also need mounting brackets, roof supports, quick clamps, switches and a main accessory harness. Some older lighting kits are explicitly incompatible with particular canopies or enclosure components.kubotausa+1

This guide compares documented lighting and electrical equipment, lists useful part references and explains the compatibility checks needed before ordering or upgrading an RTV.

The focus is North American manufacturer information. Historical part numbers are identification references, not guarantees of current availability. Confirm the complete model designation, serial information, installed roof or cab, and current installation instructions before purchase.

Identify the RTV and Existing Equipment First

Before buying electrical accessories, establish whether the vehicle is an open-station model, has a modular enclosure, or uses an integrated factory cab.

Important distinctions include:

  • RTV400Ci versus RTV500.

  • RTV500 versus RTV520.

  • Earlier RTV900 or RTV900XT versus RTV-X900.

  • RTV1100 versus RTV-X1100C.

  • RTV-X1140 versus newer RTV-X CREW configurations.

  • RTV-XG850 Sidekick versus diesel RTV-X models.

A shared accessory appearance does not establish shared wiring, mounting or electrical capacity.

Record the existing roof, cab components, switch panel and harness references. Kubota documents different arrangements for ROPS, Sport Roof and Premium Roof installations, as well as a separate VC-series accessory system.kubotausa+1

Kubota RTV Front and Rear Worklights

Worklights are intended to illuminate tasks and surrounding work areas. They should not automatically be treated as replacement road headlamps.

Kubota’s package information expressly describes the RTV520 accessory worklights as intended for off-road use.kubotausa

RTV520 rear LED worklight kit 77700-11934 Crossroads package information Model-specific installation

The legacy references follow Kubota’s archived accessory brochure. Current package information documents the VC-system restrictions and RTV520 kit numbers.kubotausa+1

Legacy RTV400Ci and RTV500 Worklights

The older smaller-RTV lighting options illustrate why roof identification matters.

Kubota lists the K7311-99620 front and K7311-99630 rear kits with 27-watt halogen output and included wiring and mounting hardware. They are compatible with the K7311-99390 plastic canopy or the approved ROPS arrangement.cdnmedia.endeavorsuite

However, those kits are explicitly incompatible with:

The V4339 front/rear worklight is a different solution. It requires the V4312 canopy or V4409 enclosure.cdnmedia.endeavorsuite

Two lamps advertised for the same RTV400/RTV500 family can therefore belong to incompatible roof systems.

Sidekick Six-Inch LED Worklight

Kubota documents the VP0892 with six LEDs and a published output of 1,000 lumens. It is sold individually and uses a quick connector within the specified installation system.kubotausa

The supporting components depend on where it is installed:

Installation Documented supporting equipment
Front worklights VP0893 front mounting kit
Rear worklight VP0894 rear mounting kit
Sport Roof front installation V0890 Sport Roof worklight supports
Two front lamps on ROPS Specified quick clamps and mounting arrangement
Electrical supply Switch panel, main accessory harness and configuration-specific wiring

Kubota’s lighting chart separates these arrangements. Do not assume that a lamp and one generic clamp form a complete kit.kubotausa

Kubota RTV LED Light Bars

Kubota’s documented Sidekick light-bar accessory is the 13.5-inch VP0891.

VP0891 Light-Bar Specifications and Requirements

Item Manufacturer description
Reference 77700-VP0891
LEDs 12
Output modes Low and high
Published high-setting output 2,200 lumens
Mounting kit 77700-VP0895
ROPS installation Two specified quick clamps
Electrical system Approved switch panel and harness arrangement

These figures and dependencies come from Kubota’s Sidekick brochure.kubotausa

Lumens Are Not the Whole Comparison

Published output helps identify an accessory, but it does not establish the complete installed result.

Position, approved mounting and the intended application still matter. A higher-output lamp is not automatically a suitable substitute for the vehicle’s original lights or another accessory system.

Do not interpret a light bar’s physical fit as evidence of electrical or public-road approval.

Sidekick Additional LED Headlights and Guard-Mounted Lights

Kubota documents two separate Sidekick options that should not be confused with roof-mounted worklights.

Accessory Reference Documented purpose Compatibility point
Additional LED headlight kit K7811-99680 Adds a second LED headlight set Use the model-specific installation
Front worklight kit K7811-99650 Adds worklights to the Sidekick front guard Requires K7811-97200 front guard

The front worklight kit is sold as a left-and-right pair. The archived full-line brochure explicitly identifies the required guard.cdnmedia.endeavorsuite

These are different installations from the VP0892 roof/ROPS lighting system.

Warning Beacons and Strobe Lights

Warning lights need both a suitable mount and the correct electrical installation.

Beacon and Strobe Directory

Accessory Reference Documented characteristics Supporting equipment
Legacy smaller-RTV strobe kit 77700-V4318 Rubber base, polycarbonate lens and on/off switch V4312 canopy or V4409 enclosure
LED strobe 77700-08686 Magnetic base; 70 flashes per minute and 11 patterns in archived specification VP0896 mount and V0881 harness
Rotating beacon 77700-08687 Magnetic base; 195 flashes per minute in archived specification VP0896 mount and V0881 harness
ROPS attachment for listed warning lights VP0819A quick clamp Specified structural attachment One clamp in the documented installation

The smaller-RTV strobe is incompatible with the K7311-99390 canopy. The Sidekick warning-light arrangement also requires the approved switch-panel system.kubotausa+1

A magnetic base does not eliminate the need for the mounting components specified by Kubota.

Warning Lights Do Not Establish Road Legality

Do not describe a beacon, indicator kit or mirror installation as making an RTV automatically road legal.

Use and equipment requirements depend on the vehicle’s approval and the applicable jurisdiction. The accessory catalogue alone does not resolve that question.

Turn Signals, Hazard Lights and Reverse Alarms

These accessories have different functions and should not be grouped together as one universal electrical kit.

Indicator and Alarm Accessories

Accessory Reference Documented application Important restriction
Turn-signal/hazard kit K7311-99610 / V4337A RTV400/RTV500 Excludes V4368 windscreen and V4409 enclosure
Turn-signal/hazard kit K7811-99610 Sidekick Model-specific lamp and wiring system
Backup beeper K7211-99640 / V4336 RTV400 Correct vehicle application required
Backup beeper K7311-99640 / V4332 RTV500 Different reference from RTV400
Reverse alarm K7811-99640 Sidekick Approved electrical installation

The listed hazard kits include front indicator lamps and rear combination indicator/tail-lamp assemblies. They are not interchangeable merely because their descriptions are similar.kubotausa+1

A reverse alarm is an additional alert, not a substitute for the vehicle’s approved reversing procedure.

Kubota RTV Switch Panels

A switch panel organizes accessory controls. It does not, by itself, establish that the underlying wiring can carry every proposed load.

Documented Switch-Panel References

Panel or system Reference Documented role
Earlier Sidekick switch panel 77700-V0880 Controls specified lights, warning equipment, wiper and washer
Retained RTV Accessory Switch Panel listing 77700-10732 Lists the same named VP-series lighting and wiper accessories
Numeric RTV-X multiple-accessory system VC5080 system Switch panel and fused accessory distribution in documented package information

The older Sidekick brochure names V0880. A retained product listing identifies 77700-10732 and names compatible accessory categories. The reviewed evidence does not establish a universal direct supersession between the two. Confirm the current panel and harness combination before ordering.kubotausa+2

Do not combine an older panel, a later harness and unrelated switches without application confirmation.

Kubota RTV Wiring Harnesses

The harness is part of the approved electrical system, not simply an optional convenience.

Harness Directory

Harness Reference Documented function Main dependency
Sidekick accessory wiring harness 77700-V0881 Main supply for Premium Roof or ROPS harness; connections for specified rear accessories Correct vehicle and accessory system
Sidekick ROPS wiring harness 77700-V0882 Connections for VP0891 light bar and two front VP0892 worklights Requires V0881
Numeric RTV-X multiple-accessory harness 77700-VC5080 Supports specified accessory combinations Correct VC-system application
Numeric RTV-X single-accessory harness 77700-VC5081 Supplies a specified accessory installation Match the accessory instructions
Included legacy-kit wiring Kit-specific Supplied with particular older worklight kits Not evidence of compatibility with newer lamps

Kubota’s current package page and archived brochures document these different systems.kubotausa+3

How the Sidekick Harnesses Work Together

In the documented system:

  • V0881 supplies the Premium Roof or V0882 ROPS harness.

  • V0882 provides connections for the front light bar and front worklights.

  • V0881 includes connections for specified rear lighting and other accessories.

  • The switch panel provides the required controls.kubotausa

Kubota’s installation chart calls for the additional ROPS harness on ROPS and Sport Cab configurations, while the Premium Cab follows its own roof wiring arrangement.kubotausa

That is why “plug and play” should be read as referring to an approved combination—not every lamp that happens to use a similar connector.

VC-Series Harness Compatibility

Current package information states that the specified VC-system LED worklights are compatible only with VC cab components and require VC5080 or VC5081.kubotausa

The multiple-accessory system is described with a painted switch panel, positions for additional switches and a six-position fuse block.kubotausa

Those features should not be treated as approval to add arbitrary loads. Confirm each accessory’s current application and installation requirements.

Mounting Brackets, Clamps and Roof Supports

Mechanical mounting is as important as the wiring.

Mounting accessory Reference Documented purpose
Front worklight mounting kit 77700-VP0893 Approved front-lamp installation
Rear worklight mounting kit 77700-VP0894 Approved rear-lamp installation
Light-bar mounting kit 77700-VP0895 VP0891 installation
Strobe mounting kit 77700-VP0896 Listed strobe or rotating beacon
Sport Roof worklight supports 77700-V0890 Specified Sport Roof installation
Two-inch ROPS quick clamp 77700-VP0819A Approved accessory attachment

Clamp quantities differ by application. Kubota documents two for the ROPS light-bar installation, two for the pair of front worklights and one for the warning-light arrangement.kubotausa

Do not drill or weld the protective structure simply to mount an unverified light.

Other Electrical Accessories Sharing the Cab System

Lighting may share an accessory infrastructure with other approved equipment.

Powered accessory Documented relationship Important limitation
Sidekick VP0817 wiper Uses the specified accessory electrical system Approved only for VP0802 glass windscreen
Sidekick VP0818 washer Requires VP0817 and specified wiring Same windscreen restriction
Sidekick Premium Audio System Requires V0881 in documented applications Incompatible with the listed Sport Roof
Numeric RTV-X accessory heater Requires VC5080 or VC5081 Approved enclosure and model application
Powered bed lift Separate model-specific system Do not assume it uses the roof-light circuit

These dependencies are documented in Kubota’s accessory literature.kubotausa+1

Plan the complete installation rather than selecting lighting without accounting for other equipment already fitted.

Current RTV520 and RTV-X CREW Lighting Packages

Recent package information provides useful examples of coordinated installations.

RTV520 Crossroads Lighting

Kubota lists:

Component Reference Published information
Front LED worklight kit 77700-11933 Pair of six-LED lamps
Rear LED worklight kit 77700-11934 One six-LED lamp
Listed light output Package description 1,000 lumens
Listed input range Package description 10–30 V DC
Intended use Package description Off-road

These are package-specific descriptions, not proof that the kits fit every smaller RTV or can be connected to any supply within the stated voltage range.kubotausa

RTV-X CREW Huntsmen Lighting

Kubota describes the Huntsmen package with two front LED lights, one rear LED light and a multiple-accessory harness. Its detailed descriptions identify VC-component compatibility and VC5080/VC5081 harness requirements for the listed worklights.kubotausa

Confirm the exact package and current kit references rather than transferring an older numeric RTV-X bill of materials unchanged to a newer vehicle.

Planning an RTV Electrical Upgrade

Start with the work requirement and build a complete, verified parts list.

Upgrade Checklist

Check Information required
Vehicle identity Full model and serial information
Existing enclosure ROPS, Sport Roof, Premium Roof, VC system or factory cab
Lamp application Intended position and approved vehicle
Mounting components Brackets, clamps and roof supports
Electrical supply Correct main and secondary harnesses
Controls Approved switch panel and switches
Protection Correct fuses and protective components from the instructions
Other accessories Existing audio, wiper, heater and powered equipment
Installation Current routing and connection instructions
Operating restrictions Off-road designation and applicable requirements
Availability Current numbers, supersessions and complete kit contents

Do not invent a universal wire gauge, fuse value, connector pinout or accessory-load allowance for every RTV. Use the correct vehicle and kit documentation.

Troubleshooting RTV Accessory Lighting

The following are diagnostic starting points, not claims that the faults are widespread.

A New Light Does Not Operate

Confirm the lamp, harness and switch-panel application before assuming the lamp has failed.

On the documented Sidekick system, a front light may depend on V0881, V0882 and the approved controls—not just the visible lamp connector.kubotausa

Several Accessories Stop Working Together

Identify the shared accessory system and use its wiring information.

Do not replace multiple lamps or increase fuse ratings as a substitute for diagnosis. Establish the required circuit protection and investigate the fault using the applicable procedure.

A Light Flickers or Cuts Out

Use the correct kit instructions to assess the installation, connectors, wiring and mounting. Do not assume that replacing halogen lamps with LEDs resolves an underlying electrical problem.

The Bracket Fits but the Lamp Cannot Be Installed Correctly

Check the roof and supporting components.

Kubota expressly requires Sport Roof supports for certain VP0892 installations and identifies different mounting kits for front, rear and light-bar positions.kubotausa

Worklights Reflect Into the Cab or Obstruct Visibility

Review the approved mounting position and adjustment instructions. Do not relocate equipment onto an unapproved part of the protective structure or interfere with the windscreen, wiper or door operation.

Use Kubota RTV Electrical and Lighting Troubleshooting for the correct model-specific diagnostic route.

Buying Used RTV Lights and Harnesses

Ask for the complete references and photographs before purchasing.

Used component Questions to resolve
Worklight Is it the correct lamp and is the mounting hardware included?
Light bar Are its bracket, clamps and switch components present?
Harness Is the identification readable, and has it been cut or modified?
Switch panel Which harness and accessories is it approved to use?
Beacon Are its approved mount and electrical parts included?
Legacy kit Are the current replacement and missing parts available?

A retained catalogue listing does not guarantee supply, and a similar connector does not establish interchangeability.

Kubota RTV Lighting and Electrical FAQs

Do Kubota RTV worklights include all the required wiring?

Some legacy kits include wiring and mounting hardware. Other systems require separate harnesses, switches and brackets. Check the actual kit contents.kubotausa+1

Which harness is used with the documented Sidekick roof-light system?

V0881 is the main accessory harness. V0882 provides the additional front-light connections for the specified ROPS and Sport Roof arrangements.kubotausa

Does the Sidekick light bar need a mounting kit?

Yes. The documented VP0891 requires VP0895, with specified clamps for a ROPS installation.kubotausa

Are VP0892 worklights sold as a pair?

Kubota lists them individually. A two-front-lamp installation requires the correct quantity and supporting hardware.kubotausa

Can older RTV400 or RTV500 worklights fit every canopy?

No. The archived halogen kits and V4339 arrangement have different canopy requirements and exclusions.cdnmedia.endeavorsuite

Can a magnetic beacon be installed without the Kubota mount?

The documented 08686/08687 system specifies VP0896 and supporting wiring. A magnetic base does not remove those requirements.kubotausa

Does a universal LED light bar work with an OEM harness?

The reviewed manufacturer information does not establish that. Obtain the product’s electrical requirements and written compatibility confirmation rather than assuming that connector similarity proves suitability.

Not automatically. Accessory installation does not, by itself, establish the vehicle’s approval for public-road operation.

Are V0880 and 77700-10732 interchangeable switch panels?

Both are documented references, but the reviewed sources do not establish universal direct interchangeability. Confirm the current application and harness combination.kubotausa+1
